The Accidental Jnr label welcomes a true stalwart of the UK rave scene to its fold In the form of hardened DJ and producer Jerome Hill. The frontman for club nights / labels Don’t, Super Rhythm Trax and Fat Hop presents four tracks that straddle the house techno divide but sit firmly within the wobbly and wonky hinterlands of the dancefloor that Herbert’s imprint has made its habitat. Opener Pob Routine’s bleepingly good time feel is as frantic as it is hypnotic, Tranmissions and RZ Thing both occupy the darker techno edge of Hill’s output, whilst More Whiffle is a vortex of sub-bass and wonderfully swinging samples that sound like they are in need of a good oiling.
